A
AI: Artificial Intelligence. It is the simulation of human intelligence processes by machines, especially computer systems. Specific applications of AI include expert systems, natural language processing, speech recognition and machine learning.
API: Application Programming Interface. It is a way for two or more computer programs to communicate with each other. It is a type of software interface, offering a service to other pieces of software.
APN: an Access Point Name is the name of a gateway between a GSM, GPRS, 3G, 4G and 5G mobile network and another computer network, frequently the public internet. A mobile device making a data connection must be configured with an APN to present to the carrier.

BI: Business Intelligence comprises the strategies and technologies used by enterprises for the data analysis and management of business information.
Billing Group: is a number that is assigned to customers in order to define the statement billing period for the customer. A billing group defines the range of the dates for which a customer will be billed, and the due date of the statement.
Business Acumen: is someone’s ability to understand business issues. It is the collection of both general and organization specific knowledge about how things get done and why. It is a key characteristic for leadership and shows up in the questions someone asks and the decisions they make.

CDR: Call Detail Record is a computer record created by a telephone exchange. It includes the details of a phone call established through the telephone exchange, including an automated record of length of each telephone call.
CES: Customer Effort Score. It is a customer experience metric that measures how much effort a customer needs to use to complete a transaction, resolve a support issue, or interact with a company/product in general - online or in person
Chat GPT: Chat Generative Pre-trained Transformer is a chatbot developed by OpenAI and launched in November 2022. It is built on top of OpenAi’s GPT-3 family of large language models and has been fine-tuned (an approach to transfer learning) using both supervised and reinforcement learning techniques.
Churn Rate: is the annual percentage rate at which customers stop subscribing to a service or employees leave a job.
CLV: Customer Lifetime Value is the total amount of money a customer is expected to spend with your business, or on your products, during the lifetime of an average business relationship
CRC: Customer Retention Cost is how much you spend to keep one customer buying from you for as long as possible
CSV: Comma-Separated Values. A comma separated values file is a delimited text file that uses a comma to separate values. Each line of the file is a data record. Each record consists of one or more fields, separated by commas. The use of the comma as a field separator is the source of the name for this file format.
CSAT: Customer Satisfaction Score is a customer experience metric that measures happiness with a product, service, or customer support interaction through a customer satisfaction survey that asks: “How satisfied were you with [...]?”
CRM: Customer Relationship Management is a process in which a business or other organization administers its interactions with customers, typically using data analysis to study large amounts of information.
CTA: Call to Action. A prompt on a website that tells the user to take some specified action. A call to action is typically written as a command or action phrase, such as “Sign Up” or “Buy Now” and generally takes the form of a button or hyperlink
Collateral: is any digital or printed material used to communicate or promote a company’s brand message, products, or services. For example, brochures, point-of-sale posters, videos, e-books, newsletters, and graphics

Failover: a method of protecting computer systems from failure, in which standby equipment automatically takes over when the main system fails.

GPRS: General Packet Radio Service is a packet oriented mobile data standard on the 2G and 3G cellular communication network’s global system for mobile communications. GPRS was established by the European Telecommunications Standards Institute in response to the earlier CDPD and i-mode packet-switched cellular technologies.
GPS: Global Positioning System is an accurate worldwide navigational and surveying facility based on the reception of signals from an array of orbiting satellites.
GSM: the Global System for Mobile Communications is a standard developed by the European Telecommunications Standards Institute to describe the protocols for second-generation digital cellular networks used by mobile devices such as mobile phones and tablets. GSM is also a trademark owned by the GSM Association.

ICCID: Integrated Circuit Card Identification number is a unique 18-22 digit code that includes a SIM card’s country, home network, and identification number. You’ll usually find ICCID printed on the back of a SIM card, but sometimes it’s included in the packaging materials instead.
IMEI: International Mobile Equipment Identity number is a unique identification or serial number that all mobile phones and smartphones have. It is normally 15 digits long. The IMEI number can be found on the silver sticker on the back of your phone, under the battery pack, or on the box your phone came in.
IOT: Internet of Things describes physical objects with sensors, processing ability, software and other technologies that connect and exchange data with other devices and systems over the internet or other communications networks.

LTE: Long Term Evolution, sometimes referred to as 4G LTE, is a standard for wireless data transmission that allows you to download music, websites, and video much faster than you could with the previous technology, 3G.

MCC/MNC: A Mobile Country Code is used in combination with a Mobile Network Code (also known as the MCC/MNC tuple) to uniquely identify a mobile network operator (carrier) using the GSM (including the GSM-R), UMTS and LTE public land mobile networks.
MRR: Monthly Recurring Revenue is the predictable total revenue generated by your business from all active subscriptions in a particular month. It includes recurring charges from discounts, coupons and recurring add-ons, but excludes one-time fees. With MRR you can assess the present financial health of the business and project the future earnings based on the active subscriptions.
MVNO: Mobile Virtual Network Operator is a company that does not own a mobile spectrum license but sells mobile services under its brand name using the network of a licensed mobile operator.
MVNE: Mobile Virtual Network Enabler is a company that provides network infrastructure and related services, such as business support systems, administration and operations support systems to a mobile virtual network operator. This enables MVNOs to offer services to their own customers with their own brand.

NDA: a Non-Disclosure Agreement is a legal contract or part of a contract between at least two parties that outlines confidential material, knowledge, or information that the parties wish to share with one another for certain purposes, but wish to restrict access to.
NPS: Net Promoter Score measures customer experience and predicts business growth. This proven metric transformed the business world and now provides the core measurement for customer experience management programs

Persona: a persona in user-centered design and marketing is a fictional character created to represent a user type that might use a site, brand, or product in a similar way. Marketers may use personas together with market segmentation, where the qualitative personas are constructed to be representative of specific segments.
Pipeline: progress toward a long-term goal that involves a series of discrete stages.
POC: Proof of Concept, evidence typically derived from an experiment or pilot project, which demonstrates that a design concept, business proposal, etc. is feasible.
POS: Point of Sale, or point of purchase, is where you ring up customers. When customers check out online, walk up to your checkout counter, or pick out an item from your stand or booth, they’re at the point of sale. Your point-of-sale system is the hardware and software that enable your business to make those sales.

Quota Attainment: is the percentage of sales people meeting or exceeding their quota

Reseller: a person or company that sells something they have bought from someone else

SaaS: Software as a Service allows users to connect to and use cloud-based apps over the internet

UMTS: stands for Universal Mobile Telecommunications Service. It’s the group of radio technologies associated with third-generation (3G) cellular networks.

Vertical: refers to companies that share a commonality, typically a specific niche market. Companies that operate in vertical markets may sell just one or multiple products and/or services. Vertical markets are specific and targeted, typically appealing to a certain customer group.

White label product: produced by one company, rebranded by another
Whitelist: is a mechanism that explicitly allows some identified entities to access a particular privilege, service mobility, or recognition. i.e. it is a list of things allowed when everything is denied by default.
Workflow: the sequence of industrial, administrative, or other processes through which a piece of work passes from initiation to completion.
